About Thai Visa Services

An independent reference for Thailand's visa and immigration system — written for the people who actually have to stand in the queue.

What this site is

Thai Visa Services is an independent guide to Thailand's visa and immigration system. The site covers 117+ pages across every major visa type, extension procedure, work-permit rule, immigration office, and Thai embassy — from the 30-day visa exemption extension to the Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) and the paperwork rituals in between: TM30, 90-day reporting, and the rest.

We are not part of the Royal Thai Government, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, or the Thai Immigration Bureau, and we are not a law firm. Where a question needs a lawyer, we say so on the page.

How the site is written

Every procedural page follows the same discipline: fees in Thai baht, form numbers (TM.7, TM.8, TM.47), queue mechanics, and the official source for each rule. Policy claims are anchored to official Thai sources — the Thai Immigration Bureau, the official Thai e-Visa portal, the Royal Gazette, and established Thai press. When immigration practice differs office by office — and in Thailand it often does — we describe the variation rather than pretending one rule fits all.

Rules change fast in Thailand. The visa news tracker logs every policy shift we cover, and each affected page carries an update note with the date. The Last updated date on a page changes only when its content substantively changes.

Who writes it

Content is researched, written, and reviewed by the Thai Visa Services Editorial Team — a collective byline for the site's researchers and editors. We publish under a collective byline because pages are maintained continuously by more than one person, not written once and left to age. Our sourcing rules, legal posture, and corrections policy are public on the editorial standards page.
