The Royal Thai Embassy "in Tel Aviv" is not in Tel Aviv. It is on the 11th floor of Ackerstein Tower A in Herzliya Pituach, the business district north of the city. It handles Thai visas for people currently in Israel.
Tel Aviv also works differently from most Thai missions on one point. You apply online through the e-Visa platform like everywhere else, but you cannot pay online. After submitting, you book an appointment and pay the visa fee in cash at the embassy. Processing starts from that payment.

Which Areas This Mission Covers
The embassy's visa page sets the rule: from 1 January 2025, a foreign national "who is currently in Israel" and wants a Thai visa must apply through the e-Visa platform with Tel Aviv as the mission. The Thai Foreign Ministry's list of mission contact points (December 2025) assigns Israel, and only Israel, to this embassy.
If you live elsewhere in the region, you apply to the mission for your country of residence. Türkiye goes to Ankara; Greece and Cyprus go to Athens and Rome respectively.
Do You Need a Visa?
For a holiday, Israelis do not. Since 15 September 2026, Israeli passport holders get a 30-day visa exemption for tourism. The embassy's homepage carries the Thai summary "The revision of Thailand's visa exemption and VoA schemes, 2026", effective 15 September 2026.
- One extension of up to 30 days is available at a Thai immigration office for 1,900 THB. See the visa exemption extension guide.
- Carry proof of onward travel and funds of 20,000 THB per person (40,000 THB per family).
- Exemption entries over land borders are capped at twice per calendar year.
- Travellers who entered before 15 September 2026 keep the stay they were given.
- File the Thailand Digital Arrival Card online within 3 days before arrival.
Background: visa exemption and the 30-day change. For a trip of about two months, the exemption plus one extension usually covers it; for longer, a tourist visa (60 days per entry, extendable by 30) or the DTV is the route. The visa finder helps you choose.
How to Apply
- Create an account at thaievisa.go.th and submit your application with the Royal Thai Embassy, Tel Aviv as the mission.
- Check every detail before submitting. The embassy warns that personal information cannot be changed afterwards and that typing errors lead to rejection.
- Book a payment appointment at visathaiembassytelaviv.setmore.com.
- Pay the visa fee in cash at the embassy, during visa counter hours (09:00 to 11:30).
- Processing takes 7 working days after payment, not counting the payment day. The approved e-Visa arrives by email; print it for the airline and Thai immigration.
The embassy may ask for more documents or an interview, and says this can add time. It has stopped taking visa applications in person, apart from the payment step.
DTV applicants. The embassy posted the Thai Foreign Ministry's change in force since 31 August 2026: the "document indicating current location" is replaced by proof of permanent residence (the sefach), and a certificate of criminal record clearance is now required. Legalising Israeli Documents
Israeli documents for use in Thailand need three steps before the embassy will stamp them:
- A public notary.
- A stamp from the Ministry of Justice's consular department or a Shalom (Magistrates) Court.
- A stamp from Israel's Ministry of Foreign Affairs consular department.
Then bring the stamped originals and a photocopied set to the embassy, 09:00 to 11:30, Monday to Friday. The fee is NIS 90 in cash per embassy stamp, and documents are ready for collection after 5 working days (excluding Thai and Israeli holidays). The embassy only legalises documents that carry the Israeli Foreign Ministry's seal.
Practical Notes
Bring cash. Both the visa fee and the legalisation fee are paid in cash at the counter. Online payment for visas is not available at this embassy.
Short Friday. The embassy closes at 13:00 on Fridays, and the visa counter stops at 11:30. Collection on Fridays is in the morning, not the afternoon.
Holidays. The embassy's "Working Hours and Holidays" page lists its hours. It closes on Thai and Israeli holidays, so check before booking a payment slot.
