Hua Hin's immigration office is the main office of Prachuap Khiri Khan Provincial Immigration (ตรวจคนเข้าเมืองจังหวัดประจวบคีรีขันธ์), and it handles the annual retirement extensions for the town's large retired community. There are two places people get wrong. One is the small counter in the BluPort mall: it is handy for quick jobs, but local reporting says annual extensions stay at the main office in Thap Tai. The other is Cha-am, just up the coast: it is in Phetchaburi province, which has its own immigration office.

Which Areas This Office Covers
Prachuap Khiri Khan Immigration is responsible for the whole of Prachuap Khiri Khan province, which runs south from Phetchaburi to Chumphon, with the Gulf of Thailand on one side and the Myanmar border on the other. It has three service points:

If you live in Prachuap town or further south, Singkhon is much closer than Hua Hin. It is in Khlong Wan, towards the Singkhon border crossing south of Prachuap town. No current official page says which services it handles, so call ahead.
Don't rely on the Bureau's contact spreadsheet for this office. The Immigration Bureau's downloadable contact list gives the Singkhon address, 296/1 Moo 6 Khlong Wan, as the provincial office's address. The Bureau's own office-hours list puts the office in Hua Hin district, and the office's Facebook page gives 439 Moo 1, Thap Tai. For extensions, go to Thap Tai.
Cha-am and Phetchaburi. Cha-am is a district of Phetchaburi province. Phetchaburi has its own immigration office, listed separately by Immigration Division 3. Long-stay extensions are filed at the office for the province where you live, so a Cha-am address generally means Phetchaburi, not Hua Hin. For Chonburi, see our Pattaya Immigration page.
Getting There
The main office is in Thap Tai subdistrict, inland and west of the town centre and the beach, so plan on driving or taking a taxi. The BluPort service point is inside the BluPort Hua Hin mall on Phetkasem Road, in town.
Services and What to Bring
Extension of a visa-exempt or tourist stay
The Immigration Bureau's published documents list:
- Form TM.7, filed by you in person
- Copies of your passport photo page, visa (if any) and latest entry stamp
- One photo, 4 x 6 cm, taken within the last six months
- 1,900 THB fee
The Bureau's criteria limit this extension to 7 days for nationals of Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Iran, Nepal, Togo, Nigeria and Uganda. Everyone else can get up to 30 days. More detail: visa exemption extension.
Retirement extension
If you are retired in Hua Hin, this is the extension you renew every year. The Immigration Bureau's national criteria:
- You hold a Non-Immigrant visa and are 50 or older.
- Money, one of three ways: income of at least 65,000 THB a month; or at least 800,000 THB in a Thai commercial bank account, held for two months before you apply and three months after approval, after which it may drop but never below 400,000 THB; or income plus deposit adding up to 800,000 THB a year.
- Documents: TM.7, passport copy, proof of income (pension, interest, dividends) and/or a letter from your Thai bank confirming the deposit plus a copy of the bank book.
- O-A holders only must also show health insurance covering at least USD 100,000 or 3,000,000 THB for the whole stay. Thai policies are checked through longstay.tgia.org.

Marriage extension
For a foreign husband of a Thai wife, the Bureau's criteria are average income of at least 40,000 THB a month, or at least 400,000 THB in a Thai bank held for the previous two months. Both spouses must attend in person with original documents. Fee 1,900 THB.
90-day report (TM.47)
Free. You can report from 15 days before to 7 days after the due date. Report late and you must go in person and pay a 2,000 THB fine (5,000 THB if you are caught). Your first report after arriving can't be filed online: make it in person, through someone you authorise, or by registered post to the office for the area where you live. The house owner, landlord or hotel reports where you are staying. It can be filed online at tm30.immigration.go.th. See the TM30 guide.
Do You Need a Visa?
Since 15 September 2026, nationals of 60 countries and territories, including the US, UK, Canada, Australia, most of Europe and India, get a 30-day visa exemption for tourism, replacing the 60-day scheme. People who entered before 15 September keep the stay they were given. Seychelles and Mauritius get 15 days; Azerbaijan, Belarus and Serbia are the only nationalities still on Visa on Arrival. At this office you can extend a 30-day exempt stay once, by up to 30 days, for 1,900 THB, reaching about 60 days in total (7 days, not 30, for the nationalities on the Bureau's list above). To retire here you need a Non-Immigrant O or O-A visa. The O-A is applied for from abroad at thaievisa.go.th. The Immigration Bureau also lists changing to a retirement Non-O inside Thailand for people aged 50 or over, so ask the office whether your entry qualifies. Not sure which visa fits? Practical Notes
- BluPort: confirm the hours and floor first. No current official page gives the BluPort counter's hours or phone number. Hua Hin Today reported on 29 July 2025 that the counter moved to the mall's 3rd floor and opens 11:00-17:00 with a 12:00-13:00 lunch break. Call the main office on 032-520-620 before you go.
- What BluPort handles (per Hua Hin Today, not an official list): 90-day reports, re-entry permits, 30-day extensions for exempt and tourist entries, and TM30. Annual extensions and residence certificates are done at Thap Tai.
- No online queue booking found. The Immigration Bureau's online appointment pages cover Divisions 4, 5 and 6. Prachuap Khiri Khan is in Division 3 and is not on them.
- The old office website is no longer the office's. Immigration Division 3 still links prachuap-immigration.com for this office, but on 16 September 2026 that domain was listed for sale, with a notice from the seller saying it is not affiliated with the previous owners and shows old content "for historical reference only". Don't use its phone numbers or hours. The office's Facebook page, ตรวจคนเข้าเมือง จังหวัดประจวบคีรีขันธ์, gives the Thap Tai address and the two phone numbers above.
