If you live in Ayutthaya province, your extensions of stay, 90-day reports and re-entry permits go to Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Provincial Immigration (ตรวจคนเข้าเมืองจังหวัดพระนครศรีอยุธยา), not to Bangkok's Chaeng Wattana office. Ayutthaya's office sits under Immigration Division 3, the Immigration Bureau lists it as open Monday to Friday, 08:30-16:30, and it covers the whole province, including Bang Pa-in, Wang Noi and the industrial estates. We are not publishing a street address or phone number yet. The office's own website blocked our requests, and the government and directory listings we could read give three different addresses. The office's Facebook page is the place to confirm where to go.

Ayutthaya or Chaeng Wattana?
This is where most people get it wrong. Chaeng Wattana is Immigration Division 1, and Division 1 serves Bangkok. Ayutthaya belongs to Immigration Division 3, and the Division 3 units list gives Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya its own provincial office. Long-stay extensions and 90-day reports go to the office for the province where you live, so an Ayutthaya address means the Ayutthaya office.

This matters most in the south of the province. If you live in Bang Pa-in or Wang Noi, the provincial boundary decides your office, not which one is nearest.
Finding the Office
We have left the address out deliberately. A wrong address costs you a wasted day, and the listings we found disagree:
- The Government Contact Center directory (gcontact.gcc.go.th) gives 134 U-Thong Road, Tambon Ho Rattanachai. That entry is dated 2011.
- Other directories give a different U-Thong Road number, or an address in Tambon Ban Pom.
- The office's website, which should settle it, returned "Access Denied" to direct requests from outside Thailand, and the pages we could read through a proxy carry no street address or phone number.
The office's Facebook page lists it in Amphoe Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, the town district, but we could not see a street address on the public page. Before you set off, message the page or ask the 1178 call centre for the current location. We will add the address once an official source confirms it.
Services and What to Bring
Extension of a visa-exempt or tourist stay
The Immigration Bureau's published documents:
- Form TM.7, filed by you in person
- Copies of your passport photo page, visa (if any) and latest entry stamp
- One photo, 4 x 6 cm, taken within the last six months
- 1,900 THB fee
Under the Bureau's criteria, nationals of Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Iran, Nepal, Togo, Nigeria and Uganda get no more than 7 days. For everyone else it is up to 30 days. More in our visa exemption extension guide.
Retirement, marriage and work extensions
The national criteria apply, and each costs 1,900 THB:
- Retirement: age 50 or over, and either 65,000 THB a month in income, or 800,000 THB in a Thai bank held for two months before applying and three months after approval (then not below 400,000 THB), or a combination totalling 800,000 THB. See the retirement extension guide.

90-day report (TM.47)
Free. The window runs from 15 days before to 7 days after your due date. Your first report can't be filed online: make it at the office, through someone you authorise, or by registered post. After that, use tm47.immigration.go.th. Details: 90-day reporting guide.
Re-entry permit (TM.8)
1,000 THB single, 3,800 THB multiple. Leaving Thailand without one cancels your extension of stay. See the re-entry permit guide.
TM30
Owners, landlords and hotels report foreign guests, online at tm30.immigration.go.th. The Ayutthaya office enforces this. In October 2018 the provincial government's news service reported its officers inspecting accommodation in Wang Noi and fining owners who had not reported foreign residents; the maximum fine it quoted was 1,600 THB per foreigner. Do You Need a Visa?
Since 15 September 2026, nationals of 60 countries and territories, including the US, UK, Canada, Australia, most of Europe and India, get a 30-day visa exemption for tourism. Seychelles and Mauritius get 15 days. Azerbaijan, Belarus and Serbia are the only nationalities still on Visa on Arrival. The officer can ask for 20,000 THB per person (40,000 THB per family), and you file the TDAC at tdac.immigration.go.th within 3 days before arrival. At this office you can extend a 30-day exempt stay once, by up to 30 days, for 1,900 THB (7 days for the nationalities listed above). For longer stays you need a visa, usually applied for at thaievisa.go.th: a Non-Immigrant O for retirement or marriage, a Non-Immigrant B for work, or the DTV for remote workers, which since 31 August 2026 can only be applied for where you are a national or permanent resident. Nearby Borders and Visa Runs
Ayutthaya has no border crossing. A land run means a long trip, and every option has limits. Visa-exempt land entries are capped at two per calendar year (Malaysian, Bruneian, Indonesian and Singaporean nationals excepted). The Cambodia land border has been closed since July 2025, and the Myanmar crossings are unconfirmed for foreign passport holders. - Book a queue. The office has posted an online queue reservation link on its Facebook page. Use it if it is still live.
- Check the Facebook page for closures. It is the office's most reliable public channel while the website is unreachable from abroad.

Can I do my Ayutthaya 90-day report at Chaeng Wattana?
Generally no. Chaeng Wattana is Division 1 and serves Bangkok. Ayutthaya has its own provincial office under Division 3, and reports go to the office for the province where you live. After your first report you can file online at tm47.immigration.go.th.
I live in Bang Pa-in. Which immigration office do I use?
Bang Pa-in is in Ayutthaya province, so you use Ayutthaya Provincial Immigration. Pathum Thani and Bangkok residents have their own offices.
