Trang Immigration (ตรวจคนเข้าเมืองจังหวัดตรัง) is the provincial immigration office for Trang, and it is not in Trang town. Its address is 270 Trangkhaphum Road in Kantang, the port town on the Trang River southwest of the provincial capital. That is where foreigners living anywhere in Trang province, including the Trang islands, go for visa extensions, 90-day reports, re-entry permits and TM30. The office also runs the immigration checkpoint at Kantang port.

Who Files Here
Trang Immigration covers the whole province. If you live in Trang town, Sikao, Hat Yao, Pak Meng, Palian, Yan Ta Khao, Huai Yot or on one of the islands, your office is in Kantang. Put "270 Trangkhaphum Road, Kantang" into your map app, not "Trang immigration", which can send you into the town centre.
The islands have no immigration counter of their own that we could find on the office's website or on the Immigration Bureau's lists. Koh Mook, Koh Kradan, Koh Libong and Koh Sukorn residents come to the mainland.

Extension of a visa-exempt or tourist stay
The Immigration Bureau's published documents:
- Form TM.7, filed by you in person
- Copies of your passport photo page, visa (if any) and latest entry stamp
- One photo, 4 x 6 cm, taken within the last six months
- 1,900 THB fee
Nationals of Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Iran, Nepal, Togo, Nigeria and Uganda get no more than 7 days under the Bureau's criteria. Everyone else can get up to 30 days. See visa exemption extension.
Retirement and marriage extensions
National criteria, fee 1,900 THB. Retirement: age 50 or over, and either 65,000 THB a month in income, or 800,000 THB in a Thai bank held for two months before applying and three months after approval (then not below 400,000 THB), or a combination totalling 800,000 THB. Marriage to a Thai national: average income of 40,000 THB a month, or 400,000 THB in a Thai bank held for the previous two months. See the retirement extension guide.
Expect a home or business visit. The office's own activity posts from May and June 2026 record officers going out to verify foreigners' extension applications, including random checks, and separately inspecting foreigners' residences and business premises. Make sure the address on your application is where you actually live, and that someone can show officers around.
90-day report (TM.47)
Free. File from 15 days before to 7 days after the due date; late reports mean going in person and paying 2,000 THB, or 5,000 THB if you're caught. The first report can't be filed online: make it in person, through someone you authorise, or by registered post at least 15 days before the due date. After that, use tm47.immigration.go.th. TM30
The office posts regular notes on checking and fining under section 38 of the Immigration Act, the rule behind TM30: owners, landlords and hotels must report foreign guests. If you rent privately, ask the owner to file online at tm30.immigration.go.th and keep the receipt. See the TM30 guide.

Do You Need a Visa?
Since 15 September 2026, nationals of 60 countries and territories, including the US, UK, Canada, Australia, most of Europe and India, get a 30-day visa exemption for tourism, replacing the 60-day scheme. Seychelles and Mauritius get 15 days; Azerbaijan, Belarus and Serbia are the only nationalities still on Visa on Arrival. The officer at your point of entry can ask for 20,000 THB per person (40,000 THB per family) and an onward ticket within your stay, and you file the TDAC at tdac.immigration.go.th within 3 days before arrival. At this office you can extend a 30-day exempt stay once, by up to 30 days, for 1,900 THB (7 days for the nationalities above). For longer stays you need a visa, usually applied for at thaievisa.go.th before you travel: the DTV for remote workers (since 31 August 2026, only in your country of nationality or permanent residence), a Non-Immigrant O for retirees. Border hours change, so confirm a crossing is open before you travel. Since 15 September 2026, entries on the visa exemption through land borders are capped at two per calendar year (Malaysian, Bruneian, Indonesian and Singaporean nationals excepted).
